Biftu Adugna Business Share Company was founded in 1994 in Dire-Dawa with its 6 ckate collection centers in eastern and Western Hararge zones of oromia with its paid-up capital of birr 15 million. It is a share company owned by five founding members.

During the first tn years of its establishment the company’s mission was to support the farmers engaged in the production ckate which is extremely victimized by few traders by their monopolistic energy in export of to neighboring countries mainly Djibouti and Somalia. After ten years of exclusive involvement in the export of ckate in Eastern Ethiopia, the company shifted its head office to Addis Ababa while keeping up Dire-Dawa office as its eastern branch and diversified its business to the import and export of other goods. Apart from this, the company has built 12 story multi-purpose building at the business center of Addis Ababa, in a location traditionally called Senga-Tera, with own finance of birr over 52 million and has been earning rent income since 2010. Currently the company is constricting unique multi-purpose building in its establishment business city of Diredawa. Recently, the company has opened twenty seven branches and created job opportunity for 391 People in permanent and contractual base.
